Yes, you must use your first and last name in order to open an Apex Unity Business Smart bank account. The Apex Unity Business Smart bank account was designed for freelancers and the self-employed who offer their services in their own name—that means the name of your business will not be shown in your bank account or on your Mastercard.
With Apex Unity Business Smart, you’ll earn 0.1% cashback on all your Mastercard purchases. Your cashback will be automatically calculated and deposited into your Apex Unity Business Smart bank account on a monthly basis—you don’t need to do a thing.
No. It currently isn’t possible to have two Apex Unity bank accounts with the same name. If you have a personal Apex Unity account and want to open an Apex Unity Business Smart bank account, you will first need to close your personal Apex Unity bank account. You may then sign up for an Apex Unity Business Smart bank account.
Apex Unity Spaces are sub-accounts that sit alongside your main account, and are a practical way to organize your business finances. As a premium customer, create up to 10 Spaces sub-accounts with IBANs in your Apex Unity app, then easily set money aside for your taxes, future projects, savings goals, and more. Each space can have its own unique IBAN, which you can use to pay your business expenses via direct debit, or to get paid via SEPA transfers directly into a sub-account. Of course, you don’t have to add an IBAN to your space if you don’t need one—the choice is yours.
Working with a team? Simply open a Shared Space, and manage your business funds together with up to 10 other Apex Unity customers. Since Apex Unity Business Smart is a business bank account, you’re expected to use it mainly for business-related purposes. You may, however, still use it for personal spending, as long as these do not make up the majority of your transactions. You may also use your account to receive your income from clients, or for business-related spending, such as paying the rent or on business trips.
In a nutshell: unfortunately not. Our business accounts are exclusively for freelancers and self-employed people who work under their own name. Therefore, company types or names can’t be listed on our accounts or on Apex Unity cards.
The Apex Unity Business Smart account is the ideal online business account if you’re a freelancer or self-employed. If you’re the sole proprietor of your business and are working under your own name, there’s nothing to stop you from opening an account. Please note, however, that you can’t open a bank account under your company’s name.
This depends on whether you are working under your own name or your company’s name. If you’re looking for a business account and you run your business under your own name, our Apex Unity online business account is just right for you. At the moment, it’s not possible to open a business account under a company name.
