2013

Apex Unity is founded by Valentin Stalf and Maximilian Tayenthal in Berlin. Our vision is to lead the way with banking that's modern and 100% digital.

2015

We introduce the first mobile bank accounts in Europe, showing that managing money can be beautifully simple, easy, and transparent.

2016

We become fully licensed and grow to 17 more countries. Each customer’s money is legally protected by the German Deposit Protection Scheme, up to €100,000.

2018

We celebrate a major milestone: 2 million customers across 24 countries. We're also named the #1 startup to work for in Germany by LinkedIn.

2021

After our Series E funding round of $900+ million and our $9+ billion valuation, we're ranked Germany’s highest-valued fintech.

2022

We grow to 8 million customers and introduce innovative products like Apex Unity Crypto — taking money management and investments one step further.
